Cardi B Finds Hair Inspiration from Donna Summer in the ’80s, Puts Her Own Spin on the Style – Check Out the Pictures

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had #CardiB’s “Bongos” on repeat since she and #MeganTheeStallion dropped their second duet on September 8. If the booty-bouncing vibes weren’t enough, the visuals have also had me in a chokehold. I’m as obsessed with their colorful curls from the cover art as I am with Cardi B’s latest curly style that pays homage to Donna Summer’s iconic big hair.

On September 11, the Bronx-raised rapper visited Bravo Studios for an interview with Andy Cohen. She arrived at the studios dressed in a teal gown and her bouncy spirals surrounding her. Her go-to hairstylist Tokyo Stylez installed this curly unit from Hair So Fab. The wig’s layered cut gave the curls some shape and body. The longest pieces cascaded towards Cardi B’s chest, and the shortest pieces formed voluminous bangs that covered her brows.

As for her makeup, her go-to makeup artist Erika La’Pearl used mostly Pat McGrath Labs products except for the rapper’s lashes, which were from iEnvy by Kiss (La’Pearl is an ambassador for the brand). La’Pearl blended brown matte hues on the rapper’s crease and shimmery champagne shadows on her lids. She painted a light nude lip gloss on Cardi’s lips.
