If you have oily lids, this might not be the best option for you. While it feels weightless on the lids, it does have a slightly oily texture when touched. However, this doesn’t seem to affect its staying power. #oilylids #eyeshadowprimer
I primarily used it to even out the tone on my lids, but you can also use it to cover dark circles on the whole eye area. #eyeshadowprimer #darkcircles
When you don’t wear much makeup, your lids can appear different in tone compared to the rest of your face. This eye brightener provides a softer brightening effect compared to using a concealer. Concealers can be problematic on lids because they tend to shrink and create a criss-cross effect once the liquid evaporates. #eyebrightener #concealer
The formula of this product is silicone-based and contains squalane, hyaluronic acid, and illuminating pearls (not glittery) to provide a subtle color correction. It’s not exactly a concealer, but more of a product that takes the edge off. #makeupcorrection #makeupbase
There are six shades available, with the lighter options being Medium/Tan and Rich. #eyebrightenershades #makeupoptions

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] At the back of my mind, I have a feeling that I might have covered this product before but even if that’s the case, it’s worth another show. I’d say that e.l.f. Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener isn’t for you if you have very oily lids – the one thing I do notice about it that’s not on the plus is that although it’s weightless on my lids, if I put my finger to the product it feels quite oily. That doesn’t seem to affect its staying power but my lids aren’t particularly oily so it’s hard to tell but it felt like a thing to be flagged up.
I’m using it to even out tone on my lids but in fact, you can use it around the whole eye area if you need to for dark circles. If you don’t wear a lot of make up, lids can look a different tone to the rest of your face which is fine and completely normal of course, but I like the way that this product gives lids a brighten in a softer way than using a concealer. Concealers on lids is a tricky one because they have more pigment and can then shrink on the lids once the liquid evaporates and that can pull the skin too, creating a criss-cross effect.
This formula is silicone-y but also contains squalane and hyaluronic acid and illuminating pearls (it’s not glittery) and just enough pigment to colour correct. It’s not quite concealer – more a ‘take the edge off’ kind of product. There are six tones – I’m using the lighter of the two in Medium/Tan and the other is Rich.
